HartSilvers

Architecture + Design

HartSilvers is an architectural design firm whose portfolio of work includes a variety of health care, residential, collegiate, religious, educational, athletic, commercial, and industrial projects.

HartSilvers' Scott Silvers has over twenty-five years of architectural design experience and Robert Hart has been in practice for more than thirty-five years. The firm is licensed to practice in Michigan, is professionally insured, and maintains a membership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Formerly with Uppgren and Associates, Bob Hart and Scott Silvers embarked on their own venture in 2012, continuing the high level of work they created under their former banner. As of 2019, Bob Hart has retired, and will continue to participate as a consulting architect on select projects. Many of these projects can be seen in Projects Examples.

The office maintains a small, responsive staff that ensures a high level of individual project attention. Through all its projects, HartSilvers strives to be thoughtful to client needs and preferences through all phases of design and construction, and to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness through its built form.

Among its clientele are the University of Michigan Health Systems, Domino’s Farms Office Park, Northville Township, Concordia University, Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority, and numerous private clients.

The firm has worked in a lead consultant capacity with professional firms such as JJR, Mayer+Helminiak, Orion Engineering, Peter Basso Associates, Process Results Inc., MA Engineering, Structural Design Incorporated (SDI), Gary Steffy Lighting Design, Soils and Materials Engineers (SME), and Arborland Surveying. Additionally, various collaborative efforts have placed us in the capacity of either design architect or project architect in a larger design team context.
